NB: This tutorial only works with storage devices that is detectable to the system

   Steps:

Make sure you have disconnected all storage devices except the one you want to repair.

Press and hold Windows key + R, the run window will pup-up. Type "diskpart" in the textbox as shown below, and click OK.

On the Diskpart Command Window, type "list disk" without the quotes and press enter as shown below.

Note: Depending on the type of PC you are using, the number of disk could be more, if you have more than 1 disk installed. In any situation, confirm the size of the disk before proceeding. In this example the PenDrive I am using is 16GB which is the "Disk 1" shown as 14GB.

Type "Select disk 1" without the quotes and press enter as shown below

In the command window, type "clean" without the quotes and press enter. (this command will wipe all data on the disk and covert the disk to RAW format)

Type "create partition primary" without the quotes and press enter.

Type "format quick fs=NTFS" without the quotes and press enter.

Type "assign letter=E" without the quotes and press enter. (Note: the drive letter can be changed).

You have successfully completed the task. You can now access your drive from the File Explorer.
